Founded in 1972 in Manhattan, PONY was initially an athletic footwear brand. It was worn by famous soccer players (Pele, NY Cosmos), boxers (Larry Holmes), basketball (David Thompson) and tennis players (Tracy Austin). In the 2000s, they were seen on young movie stars.
